Research on the brains of former athletes is raising awareness of the long-term neurological damage that can be caused by repeated, apparently minor knocks to the head.

At the Queensland Brain Institute, we have the expertise to be able to explain some of the confusion surrounding concussion and to explore many of the unanswered questions.

We currently have a ground-breaking study into the longer-term effects of concussion in athletes.
