Taken from the program notes for this piece:
"Concerto No. 2 for Piano, Winds, and Percussion was commissioned by, and is dedicated to, pianist Steven Hesla. Steve wanted a piece for a mature soloist, but with ensemble parts that could be managed by good high school players. It was his intention to have a piece that he could perform with various high school ensembles in the state of Montana. This concerto falls in line with my other recent concertos. Like the saxophone and flute works, this new piece is in five movements. And as in the other concertos, each movement is song-like, and has a programmatic backdrop."
COMPOSER: David Maslanka
CONDUCTOR: Stephen Steele
PIANO: Steven Hesla
BAND: Illinois State University Wind Symphony
TRACKLIST:
0:00 - I. Dragonfly Delight – In Memoriam H.B
7:58 - II. Enigma
15:53 - III. What's Up
21:25 - IV. Howl – A Vision of St. Francis
25:17 - V. Groucho's Dance

![Andrew Rindfleisch — The Lunatic (2015) [w/ score]
Andrew Rindfleisch writes in the program notes:
Composed in 2015 for clarinetist Pat OKeefe, The Lunatic, for solo bass clarinet, was inspired by the then current American social/political conservative movement and its seemingly strange and rapid descent into the bigoted, enraged, anti-intellectual hysteria of extremist ideology. The works conception came from two questions I kept asking myself: What if one of these lunatics could play bass clarinet? What would it sound like? The Lunatic attempts to answer those questions. Although the piece was mostly inspired by a certain someone who eventually became president, in the end, the piece does not represent a single person or identity, but rather reflects a more general sense of the hysterical right-wing communicator found in any age, time, or place.
COMPOSER: Andrew Rindfleisch
BASS CLARINET: Pat OKeefe
