Commander Alastair Denniston, Head of the Government Code & Cypher School (GC&CS) until 1942, had his office in one of the front rooms of Bletchley Park's iconic Mansion.

It was here in February 1941 that a group of American Codebreakers arrived, starting a UK-USA intelligence alliance that continues to this day.
