Combat master is a free-to-play Modern Warfare clone that started out as a mobile game. As such, it runs really well on even the oldest of hardware. it's required specs are a Core 2 Duo E6600 (2006), or an AMD Phenom X3 8750 (2008). I was playing around with my old HP Slimline 270 earlier today, which has a Core i3 7100, 16 GB of DDR4, and a Radeon R5 430 and running CachyOS and the game ran incredibly well on my old Linux potato. You have to have a GPU with 256 mb of Vram or more to play it, meaning, even an integrated GPU from over a decade or more ago can run this game. For this footage, I am using my current PC with a Ryzen 7 7700, RX 9700 GRE, and 32 gigs of DDR5 clocked at 6000 Mt/s, and running on Linux mint.
The game is fun, but generic in feel. It's free to play, and there are a lot of bots in the game, and even some cheaters as well. It starts out by begging you to buy skins every time you boot it up, and there are some visual glitches as you can see from the second map I play in this footage. Maybe I need to change some graphical settings because there are a couple of maps where the texture disappear on me like they do in this footage. There are also some Windows users who say that parts of the program ding as malware with their antivirus software, but those complaints seem to depend on the antivirus software.
Overall, this game is a fun distraction. It's not great by, but it's one you can jump on and kill some time with here an there. It's a more glitchy version of Modern Warfare, and it runs on even the oldest and slowest of PC's.
