Sri Lanka’s National Climate Finance Strategy 2025-2030 directs finance towards national climate, biodiversity and land commitments through a single framework, rather than funding each agenda separately. Developed by the Government with UNDP support, the Strategy includes green and blue bonds, disaster risk insurance, natural capital accounting and carbon markets, and more.
This is what financing the nature-climate-land nexus looks like in practice: aligned public budgets, mobilized private investment, and commitments translated into investable action. The result is more resilient, more equitable and more sustainable outcomes for communities and ecosystems alike.
