This type of noodles is usually served in a clay pot and its called Claypot Yee Mee or Claypot Seafood Noodles. The deep- fried noodles are also known as "Yee Mee", and it is available at most grocers in Malaysia. If you can't get hold of these noodles then you can always substitute with deep-fried Chow Mein noodles or, make your own with Chinese wheat noodles. I will upload a video on making your own crispy noodles soon.
Claypot Yee Mee
Ingredients (Serve 1)
1 1/2 piece of Yee Mee (Crispy Noodles), store-bought or homemade
1/2 Cup Shredded Green Cabbage
1 Small Carrot, shredded
6 to 8 Manila Clams
4 Large Peeled Shrimps
2 1/2 Cups Hot Chicken Stock
1 Large Egg
Sea Salt, to taste
Sesame Oil
Ground White Pepper
Garnish/Topping
Crispy Fried Shallots
Chopped Scallions
Serve with Pickled Green or Red Chili
