Sometimes instead of starting a song completely from scratch I’ll play around in one of my past project files with some of the instruments and sounds I like. Eventually at a certain point the song will take a turn and introduce either a new element or combination of those past sounds, turning it into its own thing. That was the case with this song after messing around in the “Sticks And Stones” project file for some time and stumbling across some wildly panned strings. Hope you all like a bit of a return to the dark side!

Beyond excited for this one and bringing you all my first lyric video! What I have noticed in producing is that sometimes there are songs that take a long time to complete, where you usually second guess yourself, scrap parts of it, try again, etc. And sometimes there are songs where all the pieces just seem to fit together (these usually turn out the best for me). This was definitely one of those fit together songs and I’m so happy with how it turned out and the direction it’s pushing me. Thanks again all for listening, and hope you like it!

This song is probably going to be a surprise to most people, but if you have been here for a while you know I like to mix things up from time to time. A little while back I went through a bit of an 80s/90s music phase and wanted to try my hand in creating something in the genre. I love mixing things up every once in a while like this by trying new genres, which always seems to help me incorporate more interesting things into my own style. It seemed time I threw a slightly more mellow song into the mix and this one does just that (until the last drop anyways, where things go a little crazy…). I’m loving trying to get this creepy vibe down at the moment and I hope you all like it!
