A little zoom to put you into the mood for Christmas!! Be sure to check out the 2nd half as that's where the nice patterns begin to form. If you've been with Maths Town since last Christmas you will recognise the colouring, I thought that I would make similar. Please hist subscribe!

The colouring technique is known as an "Image Orbit Trap". The keyframes were made with Ultra Fractal and then assembled into a video using a little script for After Effects.

This zoom is over 24-hours long, uploaded to YouTube in 11 parts. It will finish on a mini-Mandelbrot. As such, I am claiming a world record for the deepest Mandelbrot video! I have kept to the traditional colouring style for this one. Consider playing your own music while you let this one roll. Sit back, relax, and soak it in. This will be the only time I ever attempt a video this deep. Rendering around the final mini-Mandelbrot is just too computationally expensive to try again; I have other things I wish to achieve now. $Industrial - Burning Ship Fractal Zoom I have attempted to go for a more industrial feel with this one. There is some great abstract shapes in the Burning Ship fractal, particularly as you get a little deeper. I quite like the sequence of concentric squares that we enter at about 10:21. $Merry Christmas 2019 - A Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom Wishing all the people of Maths Town a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You have all made this a wonderful little part of the Internet, and your constant support is most appreciated! For this years Christmas video I was inspired by Candy Canes. The tube colouring has been by far the biggest hit of the year on this channel, so I thought it was appropriate to finish of the year with this design. The year started out a bit grim, after getting dropped by YT, but the many Patreons who opt to buy me a coffee each month kept the channel running. This video would not be here if it was not for you guys supporting the channel. Anyways, after an apology from YouTube and a lot of time with a c++ compiler, I have been able to finish the year strongly, producing fractal zooms in the unique Maths Town style.
