Three Christians interrupt their bible study to discuss an article by Christopher Hitchens concerning his diagnosis of cancer. They wonder at the possibility of a conversion and whether this will come from internal reflection or possibly through emotional blackmail levied by his children.
Pointedly, they don't wish (or offer a prayer) for his recovery anywhere here but merely mention the Pray for Hitch day. It seems to me that they consider the diagnosis of Cancer on the day his memoir hits the best seller list has some significance, but of course to admit that would be uncharitable. And God forbid they would ever behave so!
