Back in the spring, we got to work on redeveloping the chimpanzee habitat at Twycross Zoo. Having already completed one side of the building a month before, it was then time to make a start on the second side.
The team at Twycross were keen for some visual differences between the two sides. On the first side, we mostly used rope to link everything together, while on this side, we used firehose. The construction of the framework was also inverted from side one, giving it a very different look.
It was a great project, and despite the extra challenge of all the heavy stuff going at the top of the building, the process that we developed in side 1, with a few tweaks, worked brilliantly!
