This channel hit 2.5K subscribers a few weeks ago, and I've been real bad about doing special uploads for various milestones. So I figured I'd try to make up for it with this one. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
Press Garden Act 2's theme "Blossom Haze" (original by Tee Lopes) was always my favorite song from Mania. I had started a remix of it many moons ago, but lost interest or got distracted somewhere. I owe a shoutout to @DjsterDude of Twitter for suggesting (and reminding me) to try a remix of this tune. So I paid my old session file a visit, and reworked what I had started with from the ground up.
The final result is a winter-inspired remix that treads the line between smooth jazz and down-tempo. The name of the remix is an obvious double-meaning for the relaxing feel I was going for, as well as the level it's based off of being a snowy one.
While it's quite a bit different than a lot of my other remixes in terms of style, I spent quite an amount of time trying to fine tune this one- especially the sax part. Reeeally tough trying to make some digital instruments sound even remotely realistic.It finally got to the point where I had sunk so much time on this remix that my fine adjustments were actually starting to make the song worse rather than help it, so that's when I decided it's time to call it done and quit being a perfectionist.
