Chief Colton L. Buckley’s “On the Conservation Trail” brought him to The Keystone State.
His first stop was the Greensburg, Pennsylvania Field Office, where NRCS works heavily with forest landowners who want to manage healthier, more resilient forests.
Then, he visited the Bedford Field Office, where he met with NRCS team members on how they work with local farmers and private landowners to address the natural resources challenges on their land.
Bedford County is home to farms with smaller acreage, which have unique conservation needs.
At both stops, the Chief had a chance to learn about the conservation solutions that are making big differences in the lives of Pennsylvania farmers, from boosting production to conserving resources for generations to come.
