While staying in downtown Chicago over Memorial Day weekend, I was able to catch a few terrific thunderstorms as they blew across the city and over Lake Michigan.
The first line hit about midnight, Mon, May 31st - giving me a fantastic view of the city from the Chicago River looking northward toward the Willis (Sears) tower (blocked by the tower on the right).
The second line hit about mid-morning... with another fantastic lightning show. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any shots of the lightning during the day.
