In honor of the upcoming Chex Quest HD, I thought I'd revisit the cult classic "cereal box game" that started it all: 1996's Chex Quest!
Developed by Digital Café and originally packaged in Chex cereal boxes, Chex Quest is a five-level DOOM total conversion that pits players against an army of slimy, green "Flemoids."
Chex Quest was followed up with an official sequel in 1997, Chex Quest 2: Flemoids Take Chextropolis (which, unlike the original, was only available online) and an unofficial sequel in the form of 2008's Chex Quest 3 (made by former Digital Café members Charles Jacobi and Scott Holman).
Chex Quest HD, a modern remake of the original game, is slated to release later this year as a free download. Get your zorchers ready--you ain't done fighting yet!
