The chemical oxygen generator has a sodium-chlorate core installed in a stainless-steel housing. Thermal insulating material is used between the core and the housing. The actuator of the chemical generator is a spring-loaded striker and a percussion cap is installed in the ignition assembly. A release pin holds the striker away from the cap. A lanyard connects the release pin to the oxygen mask. A filter assembly is installed in the outlet end of the housing to prevent the contamination of the oxygen supply. A flexible hose connects the oxygen mask to the outlet manifold and the outlet valve supplies oxygen to the oxygen mask. The outlet is installed on the housing. A relief valve is installed at the outlet end of the housing. This will prevent a high-pressure build-up if a failure of the outlet valve occurs. An indicator on the housing will change its colour, from yellow to black or from pink to blue, when the chemical oxygen generator is used and the generator is no longer full video you can find on the YouTube channel @Zeto.r
