How to restore grey weathered Bamboo to looking new, with a cheap option. I mixed up my own bleach solution for 50p/L (£0.5 or US$0.63) and show how it restores Bamboo back to its original yellow colour (color), from a grey and weathered state. 60 times cheaper than commercial restoring products. For extra protection cover that in varnish to keep it looking good.

Use old clothes around bleach as it will bleach clothes.
This solution is what swimming pool owners use to give a big increase in chlorine content of a swimming pool, in what they call shock treatment. The level of chlorine released by the solution goes down over time and eventually drops to zero and it becomes harmless. People swim in it after all!
