I recently bought this for doing proper brake bleeding (ABS autobleed) on a modern car, but found that it has a lot of other useful functions that are worth sharing. Not only OBDII error code reading and resets, with detailed descriptions but it can also talk to other modules like ABS / DSC, SRS / Airbag, EPB (electronic park brake), BMS (battery management) and throttle and steering systems.
Previously I seemed to be buying new obd2 cables and software for each car, but this AP200 software for this device seems to cover most manufacturers and cars with five different interface protocols supported.
I tried it on a Jaguar F-Pace 2016, BMW Mini R55 2007 and a Landrover Freelander 1.8 2003 year. It read and resets error codes from the main ECU and ABS and SRS(airbag) car modules, which were the features that came with the device. Access to other modules is via add on purchases, which I didn’t try.
