Charley Straight (1891 - 1940) born in Chicago, Illinois, was a capable jazz and ragtime pianist, composer and the leader of a semi-hot band in the 1920s. He started his career in 1909 accompanying singer Gene Greene in Vaudeville. In 1916 he began working at the Imperial Piano Roll Company in Chicago were he recorded dozens of piano rolls. He became a popular bandleader in Chicago during the 1920s. His band, the Charley Straight Orchestra had a long term engagement at the Rendezvous Café from 1922 to 1925 and he recorded for Paramount Records and Brunswick Records in the 1920s.

The Williams Sisters, Hannah and Dorothy, were a singing and dancing duo with appearances in vaudeville, Broadway and cabarets. Besides the Charley Straight Orchestra, they also sang with the Scranton Sirens in Pennsylvania, Ben Pollack Orchestra in Chicago and Roger Wolfe Kahn Orchestra in New York.
