What's up Geekly Goods fam! 😭 According to a new report from DanielRPK, Charles Melton has reportedly turned down the role of Beast in Marvel Studios' X-Men film. Take this one with a real grain of salt though, since DanielRPK himself has since clarified this info wasn't "100%" confirmed, and that neither Melton nor Cailee Spaeny, who's rumored for Rogue, are actually locked into deals yet.
The full X-Men cast was originally expected to be revealed at D23 this weekend, but this dropout could throw a wrench into those plans. I genuinely love the idea of Charles Melton as Beast, and honestly, he might just be incredibly busy given his packed schedule between Riverdale, May December, and Beef Season 2. Even if this particular casting doesn't happen, this would have been such a great fit for the role.
Even without Beast locked in yet, I'm hoping we can still get confirmation on the rest of the cast at D23. There's already so much momentum building with Samara Weaving, Sadie Sink, and Kit Connor all confirmed.
