In my recent studies about drawing I learned that my way of drawing ellipses was very inaccurate. I ended up spending many hours on learning how to draw these shapes more accurately. Eventually I would want to use Ellipses to construct cylinders, spheres and even more complex objects, from various angles. The techniques that I will show you in this video are the ones I found to be the most effective and useful. I even suggest my own technique at the very end that makes the construction a bit simpler and time efficient. I hope you can gain something from watching this video. This video is the third uncut and real time video of my anime character 3d modeling tutorial series without commentary.

In this episode I am working on the cloth for my character. I am using the blockout from the first part as my base, and blend the shapes with some additional details to create a draft for now. I am also working on the legs in this part. All in all, this gives us a nice representation of what the character is going to be when complete.
