USS John Finn (DDS-113) passing outside the mouth of San Diego Bay, at a distance of about 15 km on another interesting day of atmospheric optics.

More later. Lots of footage of looming, stooping, and superior miraging as the Southern California weather turned unseasonably hot while the ocean surface temperatures were still winter cold; not to mention Santa Ana winds blowing offshore.
