Bobby Shafto | Where in the World? @bobshafto | Uploaded January 2022 | Updated October 2024, 12 hours ago.
A friend shared this clip with me. It was shot on July 24th, 2021.
I've sped it up 10x normal speed, but can anyone estimate what latitude this was shot from?
Be careful. There's a small detail that might be an important clue. (Edit: the "small detail" is that the moon is not oriented correctly for it's apparent direction of movement. That's because, in addition to speeding it up, I also edited to play in reverse. It's actually a moonrise.
I'm going to set comments to requiring approval. I'll approve any guesses I get in about 48 hours.
(Edit: I'm lifting the restriction on comments and approving all that were submitted. Thanks to any and all who took the time to contribute.)
If you do enter a guess, tell me how you came up with it.
Thanks.
