Changing the air conditioner in the computer room 8/3/2026 from a 1979 White Westinghouse AC057C7A2 5,000 BTU window air conditioner to a 1994 Carrier XCA121D 12,000 BTU. For whatever reason, the White Westinghouse unit was just not a good fit for the space and didn't cool or dehumidify well.
This is the 2nd large unit I've installed with the new bracket in place and it is absolutely fantastic. Everything about it came out correct. It makes it so much easier to install the machines and the whole setup is much more sturdy than having the machine hanging by the window kit. I will likely eventually install similar frames on the back of the house in the two rear rooms.
