The Young Turks (TYT) investigative reporter, Jonathan Larson, came to South Bend for a couple of weeks to find out just what Pete Buttigieg was doing as mayor for the last 7 years. TYT according to Wikipedia is a progressive left-wing American news and commentary program on YouTube. Wikipedia writes that "Young Turk" is a "young person who rebels against authority or societal expectations." Jonathan Larsen is TYT's managing editor and according to Mario Sims, who met with him, he is an atheist.

Mario Sims and Peter Helland discuss the new revelations in the report (from previously unseen court documents) that indicate that Mayor Pete purposely fired the first black police chief (because of pressure from his donors) and over the unanimous wishes of the people chose a new police chief from out of town. Not only was the new chief, Ron Teachman, from out of town but he was working in Tajikistan as part of the military police. He was chosen on the recommendation of the influential Robert Wasserman of Homeland Security fame. Mayor Pete's latest campaign theme is that white nationalism is the biggest threat to America and systemic racism is one of the biggest problems. But Pastor Mario Sims does not buy it. Or as Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." The black community in South Bend knows that Mayor Pete did not serve them very well. Instead of working to strengthen their infrastructure (stronger families, better employment opportunities, better schools) he chose to basically impose a type of military martial law (Israelization) on their communities as the way to deal with the big crime problem in South Bend. For many of his supporters this was the preferred way to do things. But it had bad consequences for South Bend. So now the police department appears to have the lowest morale it has ever had in its entire history.
