On today's adventure in South Florida, we're heading out to catch the fastest lizards in the world, not in the marshes or pine forests, but on a golf course! Iguanas live in many of the cities of South Florida, including Miami, and today we're gonna be snaring the lizards with a top run speed of 21mph!
Join Cajun Boy (Zachary Gray) as we get up close with these Jurassic lizard species, and see just why the fastest lizard in the world, isn't the hardest lizard to catch! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video! :D
The black spiny tailed iguana is considered to be the fastest lizard in the world at top running speeds, and are a large, dark colored iguana naturally found throughout central and south america, however they've been introduced into urban areas in south Florida. Even though they are an invasive species, they cause almost no issues, due to not being able to live in any natural environments, so their survival in cities does not hurt anything other than peoples lawn care, as they mostly eat vegetation, and some of the other smaller invasive lizard species.
