These cats were made by the master automata makers of 19th century Paris, Roullet & Decamps. They are clockwork with papier mache bodies covered in real fur. The cavalier cat is of remarkable large size and runs for several hours on one winding. The walking cat has a pleasing mew operated by the clockwork moving an internal bellows.
