A new jumping technique in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

1. If you break-out of Gabriel's crystal-break stance, he is then free to engage in his usual actions but while the crystal is in his hand, glowing. Now, just as the crystal's swirling animations are about to end, there are few frames that cause Gabriel to break-out of most of his actions (so it can also be used as a break-out tool for other purposes).

Note that this break-out is timed, it takes place automatically towards the end of the crystal's swirling animation.

2. So, if you are airborne when this break-out occurs, Gabriel enters a glitched state. The game will give you infinite launches while in air (all types of launches, and other types of ground attacks). However, there are some air-attacks that end the state, testing still in progress.

3. Some different ways that you can break Gabriel out of his crystal stance:
-use the environment, like placing Gabriel in a position where he is able to be harmed during his crystal-break stance.

-drop him into some death pits (sadly it doesn't seem to work in the most common death pits?).

-break a crystal just before a skippable cinematic cutscene begins, and then skip the cutscene. It seems that the scene has to be cinematic, it doesn't seem to work on those short, skippable scenes that briefly pan and show you the next area you need to go to. (?)

-drop into a skippable scene from some ledge you've high jumped to (now we really need to test harder to see if it's possible to break a crystal as you approach a scene without dropping into it).

4. About the jump, after the timed break-out:
Once you've broken-out of the crystal stance, you'll be moving freely while the crystal is in your hand. Now before I go on, remember the timed break-out that occurs towards the end of the crystal-swirling animation? Well, it can stifle your initial jump if you're in a particular animation of a given attack, and it will drop you to earth really quickly.

Important: the break-out occurs when the swirling graphics suddenly start to get white-ish. At that moment - and while in air, throw the Holy Water and begin your second launch. If done correctly, you'll still be in the air after the break-out. After that it's simply a matter of spamming infinite launches with other types of attacks in between.

5. However... while you are in this glitched state, the game's inputs work differently to normal. For example, under normal conditions a double-launch is done by pressing Triangle, X, X. But for some reason - during your glitched jump - you have to do the reverse of that... so X, Triangle, Triangle. If you try to give the standard double-launch inputs, Gabriel will instead do a whip-attack which will end your state and you'll fall. But after the chaos of the initial break-out, the jump is not difficult at all.

6. You can use the game's "resources" to top-up your water bombs during your jump. Although you can also do infinite launches in conjunction with Daggers (trickier) neither are required, though the timing is much easier with the Holy Water, also faster.

Edit: I've also tried to see if you can start this infinite jump immediately after a regular breaking of a crystal has ended. Doesn't seem to work.

In summary, if we can find a way to break Gabriel out of his crystal stance without relying on external factors. We'd have a infinite jump proper for this game.
