Montesegale Castle is a fortification located in the Italian municipality of the same name, in the province of Pavia. The building is located 350 meters above sea level on the hill overlooking the village, in the Oltrepò Pavese area, on a hill overlooking the Ardivestra stream valley. The castle has a complex and highly articulated structure, a collection of courtyards and buildings from different eras, located within a fortified wall featuring square-based towers and sloped walls with Ghibelline battlements. At the top there is a large bastioned embankment on which stand a small fortress and a tower, which, according to what can be deduced from the documents, would be the original part of the castle.
