Foundation For The Carolinas, which is known for its long history of civic stewardship in our region, initiated the construction of Charlotte's newest (and smallest) park uptown. Carolina Theatre Park was erected on an abandoned lot in front of the old Carolina Theater. Because this little piece of land is adjacent to one of Charlotte's most walked paths, the Foundation thought it was important that this unsightly patch of land be transformed into a beautiful, public space.
