Carmilla carmine is the de facto leader of the overlords, and one of the central characters in season 1. Her design has actually changed alot throughout the series.
Originally she had a pair of horns and resembled a biker with her red jacket. She also had a unique pair of leggings, which ended up being reused later and given to lute and the exorcists.
We actually see this design during vaggie’s monologue in the pilot. We see carmilla on the left with her horns.
We also see carmilla’s second design in the pilot. She loses her horns, gets an altered hairstyle and she gets her x crossed leggings.
In the final show carmilla gets another new outfit and hairstyle. Her leggings are now glowing due to the angelic steel.
Personally i think the first version of carmilla looked the best, her horns and outfit are just so much cooler.
The reason she was changed was to emphasise the fact she’s a ballerina.
