Despite backlighting by the setting sun, the approximately 2100-ft Mount Orizaba, at a distance of almost 67 miles, is not visible above the horizon from the jetty elevation.
The sun reveals a little bit of inferior mirage, that provides a bit of "green flash." The passing sailboat, silhouetted against the orange sky, was a nice, unexpected touch.
