I just wanted to say a couple of words.

I thank you for following along in the sing-through of Carl Sandburg's 1927 American Songbag--over 300 songs. But the pandemic is still going on so I'm going to continue.

Next I'm going to sing through Carl Sandburg's 1950 NEW AMERICAN SONGBAG. About 40% of the NEW AMERICAN SONGBAG
are reprints from the 1927 Songbag, and I will not rerecord them. But that still leaves a number of great songs Sandburg collected.

I hope to continue recording as long as I am able (knock on wood) and would like to sing-through SWEET MUSIC a songbook from Sandburg's daughter, Helga, collecting songs the family sang together in the evenings.

In the future I'd also like to explore other songs collected by Sandburg found among his papers at the Rare Book and Manuscripts library located at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Then possibly proceed to the Lomax songbooks.

Again, thank you for following along. Also, a shout out to Avery Gregurich and The Quarterly Journal of Roots Music: NO DEPRESSION for the article on Sandburg and this sing through in the Spring 2021 issue.
