🚨 A routine BOLO turns into a high-speed nightmare on I-75.
Florida Highway Patrol is forced into action after an armed carjacking spirals into a dangerous pursuit that put countless drivers at risk — and ended with a hard lesson for those involved. #news #policepursuit
On May 11, 2025, the Fort Myers Regional Communication Center issued a BOLO for a black Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross that had just been carjacked by two armed suspects near Bell Boulevard in Fort Myers, Florida. Investigators warned that a firearm was involved as Florida Highway Patrol units began tracking the vehicle.
What followed was a high-speed pursuit along I-75 in Collier County, with speeds exceeding 110 mph as troopers coordinated ground units and aviation support. The suspects attempted to evade law enforcement through traffic before encountering stop sticks, bringing the pursuit to an end near mile marker 80.
The case concluded with the arrest of Miranda Lee Pryor, who was taken into custody and later booked into the Collier County Jail. Investigators recovered a black/dark grey .32 Smith & Wesson revolver (Model 732), loaded with four rounds, which was thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit.
Charges include:
• Carjacking with a Firearm or Weapon (Felony)
• Felony Fleeing and Eluding
• Reckless Driving
