Suspect: Jailin Rayshawn Roberson
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Vehicle: Green Dodge Charger (Hertz rental car)
Incident:
The suspect was observed driving 80 mph in a 45 mph zone.
After fleeing from a traffic stop, Roberson reached speeds of 130 mph during the chase.
The chase spanned multiple counties along I-75, with Roberson attempting to blackout by turning off his lights while driving.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) executed multiple PIT maneuvers to bring the chase to an end near Charlotte County.
Arrest and Charges:
After being stopped, Roberson initially denied being the driver and claimed medical issues, including epilepsy.
EMS evaluated Roberson at the scene before transporting him to Shore Point Hospital, where he was medically cleared.
He was then arrested and booked into Charlotte County Jail.
