We arrived in Cape Town not sure what to expect. This is our first time in South Africa, and many reports are that this place is dangerous. Certainly the crime rate is high.

So, we wandered around our neighbourhood a bit nervously, and checked out some tourist spots: museums and beaches.

Is South Africa safe? Is Cape Town worth visiting?
