I had a few old useless film and electrolytic capacitors, so I decided to put them underwater and give them a shot of 80 uF 6400 V from my capacitor bank. First up was a small film cap in a glass jar of water. The jar was blown apart. Next was a small electrolytic in a plastic water container. The container held but the water hit the ceiling. Last was a larger electrolytic, but it proved to be dry inside and did not pop well. Slow motion recorded at 240 frames/sec.
