In a previous video I tried casting a blade shape with welding thermite. The idea worked but I had used a lousy mold and got a deformed result. Today I used the lost foam method and got much better results. I have a casting but it seems to have a very large crystal structure as cast. Hopefully I can do some normalizing in the forge and then see if the casting can be forged to shape. I will show the attempt at normalizing and forging in another video.
