Electric Vehicle Society | Canada's EV Trajectory in 2022 with Peter Hatges - Managing Director, KPMG @ElectricVehicleSociety | Uploaded April 2022 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
In this episode we welcome Peter Hatges, Managing Director KPMG Corporate Finance. Peter also holds the position at KPMG as Canada’s national Automotive Sector Leader. Peter was our very first guest on Canada Talks nearly two years ago, when he described the Economics of Electrification. This time, Peter shares an update of KPMG's EV file and addresses recent market attitudes to paint an interesting picture of Canada's EV Trajectory for 2022.
A round table discussion follows featuring Kenneth Bokor and Glenn Garry.

It was fascinating to compare KMPG's poll to a live straw poll of the 140 people attending the live broadcast. KPMG asked mostly non-ev owners what they perceived were the biggest barriers to ev adoption. We asked the same question of the largely ev owning attendees. The differing views are striking and provide further proof that more consumer education is needed!

Kenneth Bokor is creator, Producer and Host of the popular EV Revolution Show (YouTube). The EV Revolution Show is focused on the massive changes going on in the auto industry towards electrification. Ken is very passionate about sustainability and provides a unique approach to covering this marketplace from a global perspective!

Glenn Garry has been an EV Advocate since 2015 and a board member of the Victoria Electric Vehicle Association since 2018.  He is their Lead for Research and Government Engagement with significant success working with governments from municipal, provincial and federal levels.
