@JoyFrost has been working on this album for over two years. I became involved in May of 2023 and produced five of the ten songs. My followers have seen the flood of Logic breakdown videos, interviews, etc. Well, the first round of Grammy voting season starts on October 4, and this album has been accepted in three categories: The album is in the new Alternative Jazz Album Of The Year category, and our arrangment of "My Funny Valentine" is up for Best Jazz Performance (Joy's vocal is stunning), and "Best Arrangement, Instrumentals and Vocals"
Alternative Jazz is a new category, I believe this is just the third year it has been an topion. According to the official Grammy Rulebook, this categoru "may be defined as a genre-blending, envelope-pushing hybrid that mixes jazz (improvisation, interaction, harmony, rhythm, arrangements, composition, and style) with other genres, including R&B, Hip- Hop, Classical, Contemporary Improvisation, Experimental, Pop, Rap, Electronic/Dance music, and/or Spoken Word. It may also include the contemporary production techniques/instrumentation associated with other genres. (Instrumental albums in the well-established Smooth Jazz style will remain in the Contemporary Instrumental Category.)"
