In 2018 a radical new cycling scheme started up in Inverness, Scotland, aiming to transform the lives of locals. We meet some of the people who've taken up cycling and see what impact it has had on them.

WheelNess is all about helping people to make positive change in their lives through cycling.

The project targets people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access a bike – focusing on people with physical and mental health conditions, those on low incomes and others needing a helping hand.

As well as free access to a bike, people receive a personal programme of support because we recognise that everyone’s cycling journey is different.

WheelNess is delivered by Cycling UK and funded by Transport Scotland. Find out more: cyclinguk.org/community-outreach/wheelness
