On the 4th of February 2025 I invested at least four hours getting to know Mindelo by walking its streets and visiting different points of interest
Mindelo, located on the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde, is the cultural capital of the country. With its Portuguese colonial architecture, vibrant music scene, and picturesque bay, Mindelo offers an enchanting mix of different cultural influences.

Quiet neighborhoods with a more upscale and residential feel.
Alto Morabeza offers panoramic views of the bay and is near some popular guesthouses and boutique hotels.
4. Ribeira Bote
Historically working-class with deep musical roots.
A hub for local culture and live music, often off the typical tourist path.
