In this video we take a look at an interesting C128 that threw me for a couple of loops. The first surprise was a tiny mod board hidden inside the VIC-II side of the RF shield box. It turns out this mod was done by Commodore itself, but it took some studying a lot of help from others to discover its purpose.

In the end we do find the cause of the C128 black screen and get it fixed. Along the way we discover the hazards in following along with a troubleshooting guide and not paying close enough attention to the service manual and schematics.
