As part of the BYU150 celebration, a time capsule that was placed 50 years ago was opened by BYU President C. Shane Reese and University Librarian Rick Anderson. The time capsule included audio recordings, a $5.00 bill, tape measure (because the metric system was on its way), freeze-dried cinnamon bears, and a game-worn jersey from legendary BYU quarterback Gifford Nielsen.
