Building a low, comfortable, and serviceable rock crawler interior turned out to be one of the biggest design challenges we've worked through on the Wide Open Design Rocketship.
In this video, Adam walks through how we refined the Rocketship rock bouncer tube chassis interior around real-world use—from getting the driver as low as possible to improving leg position, adding storage, routing wiring and plumbing, and making the buggy easier to get in and out of.
We also show our new universal seat mounting system, designed to make swapping and servicing seats easier without cutting up a finished chassis.
The goal wasn't just to make everything fit. It was to solve these problems now so the next builder doesn't have to start from scratch.
