Atkinson Building Contractors’ new development in Penrith, Cumbria features two infiltration tanks. These features divert rainwater away from sewers and recharge the aquifers. By diverting extra surface water from roofs and roads, we can help manage flood risk enhance water quality and provide habitats for plants and wildlife.
We continue to offer developers incentives who include sustainable drainage systems, including a 90% reduction in infrastructure charges for properties that do not connect surface water drains to existing sewers.
