The City of Stamford, in partnership with the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) is undertaking a complex, multi-year school construction and facilities modernization program designed to transform learning environments for current and future generations of students.
This work includes the new Westhill High School, the new Roxbury K-8 School, the Upper and Lower New Schools (K-8) and additional school enhancement projects across the district’s 23 schools.
The program addresses aging infrastructure, evolving educational needs, and the importance of creating safe, modern, and inspiring spaces where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Through an unprecedented investment, the City is improving the daily educational experience for 15,300+ students while strengthening neighborhoods, supporting educators, and investing in Stamford’s future.
To address this mission, a dedicated Office of School Construction was created in 2023.
