Since constructing the new side of the layout three months prior I've been looking into adding a locomotive storage area on my layout.
Placing larger HO engines on the track can be time consuming since very single wheel has to be perfectly aligned with the track so being table keep them on the layout adds a great deal of convenience.
Another goal archived in this project was adding a reversing loop so that entire consists can be turned around depending on what direction I want to run them.
This took some special wiring to get right however it seems to work quite well with both my analog and digital systems.
