Sue loves to garden and is happy around her plants. She has always wanted a greenhouse. So with Covid time on our hands we ordered her she-shed. It took us 5 days to prepare the site and put it up.
The Farmtek greenhouse has a 10 year warranty on the frame and 6mm UV stabilized polycarbonate panels. We bought the greenhouse from Farmtek's website because we had a 10% coupon. The kit came with quality powder coated extruded aluminum and stainless hardware. Every part was stamped with a part number. The instruction were reasonable. It would help if the pictures were not photo copies. Our door was different and the instructions were not correct.
We ordered the extra steel base and solar powered vents. We used 6"x6" pressure treated lumber and 2 yards of pea gravel as a foundation.
Kit and tools we used:
9'x12' Greenhouse ( amzn.to/36paYqy , farmtek.com/farm/supplies/ProductDisplay?mfPartNumber=104605 )
Steel base ( farmtek.com/farm/supplies/ProductDisplay?mfPartNumber=104606 )
solar powered light ( amzn.to/3giTrVB )
rotating laser level ( amzn.to/2TzkhiE )
Ryobi drill and driver ( amzn.to/3gj8BtU )
Husqvarna 20 Inch 455 Rancher Gas Chainsaw ( amzn.to/2LXk1pq )
metric socket set ( amzn.to/36qFtMS )
metric open end wrenches ( amzn.to/36u2Q8w )
caulk gun ( amzn.to/2A7FOrA )
There are several other brand greenhouses that have gotten reasonable reviews:
- Palram HG5612 Glory Greenhouse, 8' x 12', Gray ( amzn.to/2TBjIER )
- Rion EcoGrow 2 Twin Wall Greenhouse, 6' x 12' ( amzn.to/2XrHHHJ )
We've heard the Harbor Freight greenhouses are too flimsy.
