Plan C | Building a 128K ZX Spectrum Clone with an LED Keyboard @Plan-C | Uploaded April 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
In this video I show the process of building a brand new 128k ZX Spectrum clone complete with LED backlit keyboard. The Harlequin is a clone of the 128k Spectrum which is designed to fit in the original rubber key 48k case and uses off-the-shelf components to replicate the workings of the custom ULA chip used by Sinclair. As the original ULA chips age and fail, the Harlequin offers a way to continue using the ZX Spectrum.

Video shows the key steps of each stage of construction of both the computer and the keyboard.

Finishes with a reverse polarity protection mod to avoid any future problems.

Good luck all.
