A slow roll from downward dog to upward dog can become a full body conversation.
As you press back, the entire backside lengthens. From the soles of the feet through the calves, hamstrings, spine, and into the shoulders.
As you glide forward, the front line opens. Ankles, hip flexors, abdomen, chest.
Keeping the toes tucked makes the transition simple and continuous. There is less rearranging and more flow.
Over time, these waves build strength in the shoulders and core while restoring length through both the superficial back line and superficial front line.
It is not dramatic.
It is rhythmic.
And repetition is what creates change.
